A shoddily-produced documentary that devotes too much time to where video games are going while glossing over the interesting bits about where it came from. With all the stories surrounding Atari, Nintendo’s aborted partnership with Sony, the console wars, the collapse of the early 80’s, and many more, it was such a letdown to watch this documentary barely dwell on those great moments in video game history. In an industry full of big personalities and contentious relationships, the filmmakers seemed more concerned with the technology rather than the people behind their creation, which makes for a pretty boring viewing experience.
