Feels like the start of an idea more so than a complete thought, but for a debut picture, it’s fairly obtuse and interesting throughout. The manic way Joseph Gordon-Levitt bounces around in Jon’s head is fun to watch, and his caricatures, especially Scarlett Johansson’s Barbara Sugarman, are humorous. I just wished they would have fleshed out both of Jon’s relationships further. This is a movie that was in desperate need of a rewrite and thirty extra minutes of runtime.
