Funnier than a Seth MacFarlane property should be, it has some legitimate moments of hilarity. But, as is the problem with most of his non-Family Guy work, the whole movie feels recycled. Giovanni Ribisi and Sarah Silverman are the picture’s high-water marks, whereas the relationship between MacFarlane and Charlize Theron gets way too much screen time.
